PARKOWA
Bridging scales and traditions in the evolving urban fabric of Katowice. The project demanded finding a solution to seamlessly connect the low-rise buildings in the park district with the high-density structures along Brynowska Street.
We have designed 4 towers of diverse heights, ranging from 3 to 12 floors. The buildings on the ground level were designed using full precast reinforced concrete technology. The project entails modular apartments in M1, M2, and M3 structures, resulting in a reiterative facade module boasting precast balconies and expansive windows. The uniform facades of the individual buildings will be constructed using mass-colored concrete, exuding a cohesive and appealing appearance.
The project's visual code involves assigning a unique color to each tower, drawing inspiration from the rich hues of bricks and distinctive materials synonymous with the Upper Silesian housing construction tradition.
